How to Track Your Package and Handle Customs Issues

Tracking anxiety is real. Master the tracking process, understand customs workflows, and know exactly what to do if your package gets held.

The period between "shipped" and "delivered" is the most stressful part of W2C shopping for most buyers. Tracking updates can be cryptic, customs processes are opaque, and the uncertainty of international shipping creates genuine anxiety. Understanding exactly what happens at each stage eliminates that stress and helps you take action when needed.

When Tracking Stalls: What to Do

No updates for 7+ days

This is usually normal for budget lines. Do not panic. If it hits 14 days with no update, contact your agent to verify the package is actually in transit.

"Held in customs" for 3+ days

Most customs holds resolve within 5 days. If it exceeds 7 days, your agent may need to provide additional documentation. Contact them proactively.

"Return to sender"

This is serious. The package was rejected. Contact your agent immediately. They will coordinate with the carrier and either reship or refund depending on insurance status.

"Damaged in transit"

Document everything with photos before opening fully. Take pictures of the damaged packaging and contents. File a claim with your agent within 24 hours.
