Asian sizing is different from Western sizing in crucial ways. Master the measurement system and eliminate fit frustration from your hauls forever.

The number one reason for W2C buyer disappointment is getting the wrong size. Asian sizing runs systematically smaller than US and European standards, but the differences are predictable once you understand them. This guide gives you the exact conversion rules and measurement techniques to nail your fit every single time.

How to Measure Yourself Correctly

1

Chest / Bust

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight. Breathe normally. Record in centimeters.

2

Shoulder Width

Measure from the edge of one shoulder bone to the edge of the other, across your upper back. This is crucial for jacket and hoodie fit.

3

Sleeve Length

Measure from the shoulder seam to where you want the sleeve to end (usually at the wrist bone). Add 2cm if you prefer slightly long sleeves.

4

Total Length

For tops, measure from the highest shoulder point to your desired hem. For pants, measure from waist to ankle or preferred break point.

5

Waist & Hips

For pants and shorts, waist is measured at your natural waistline. Hips at the widest point. Both are needed for bottoms fit.

6

Inseam

Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg. This determines where pants sit on your shoes — critical for the right look.

Fit Rules by Category

Oversized hoodies

If you want the baggy look, add 8-12cm to your chest measurement before choosing a size. Asian "oversized" is still smaller than Western oversized.

Sneakers

Most Asian sneakers run true to EU sizing but half-size small in US sizing. If you wear US 10, order EU 44 or US 10.5 equivalent.

T-shirts

For a standard fit, add 4-6cm to your chest measurement. For slim fit, add 2-3cm. For boxy fit, add 10+cm.

Jackets

If you plan to layer (hoodie underneath), add 6-10cm to chest measurement. Always check the "with hoodie" measurement sellers provide.

Pants

Asian pants often have shorter inseams. If you're over 5'10", check inseam length carefully or expect a cropped/ankle fit.

Common Mistake

Never order by your usual letter size without checking the chart. A "US Large" from one seller might be 108cm chest while another seller's "Large" is 112cm. Always go by the actual measurement numbers, not the label.
