The Ultimate Guide to Building Your First Haul from Scratch

From wishlist to warehouse to doorstep — follow the complete journey of assembling your first W2C haul with confidence and zero confusion.

Your first haul is a milestone. It's the moment theory becomes practice, and all those spreadsheet hours turn into real items at your door. But building a smart first haul requires more than randomly picking items you like. This guide walks you through the entire process from initial browsing to unboxing day.

Phase 1: Planning Your Haul

1

Set a Budget

Decide your total spend including items, agent fees, shipping, and a 10% buffer for unexpected costs. First-time haulers should start with $150-300 total.

2

Define Your Goals

Are you filling wardrobe gaps? Trying a specific aesthetic? Building a seasonal rotation? Clear goals prevent impulse buys and buyer's remorse.

3

Create a Wishlist

Browse the USFans Spreadsheet and save 15-20 items that catch your eye. Do not buy yet — just collect options. Sleep on it for 24 hours.

4

Trim to 5-8 Items

After reflection, narrow down to your must-haves. For a first haul, 5-8 items is the sweet spot — enough to justify shipping costs but not overwhelming to manage.

5

Verify Seller Trust

Check the seller ratings in our spreadsheet. Prioritize items from sellers with 4.5+ stars and 50+ reviews. Avoid brand-new sellers for your first order.

Phase 2: Placing Orders

Double-check sizes

Measure yourself and compare to every item's size chart. Write down the size you need for each item before ordering.

Note special requests

If you need QC photos of specific details, write this in the order notes. Agents read these and accommodate when possible.

Stagger big orders

If buying 8+ items, submit them in 2 batches of 4. This prevents overwhelming the agent and makes QC review more manageable.

Screenshot everything

Save screenshots of product pages, size charts, and your order confirmations. These are your evidence if anything goes wrong.

Phase 3: QC Review & Approval

Day 1-2

Agent Purchases

Your agent buys the items from the sellers. Status updates to "Purchased".

Day 4-7

Domestic Delivery

Sellers ship to the agent warehouse. Status updates to "Shipped to Warehouse".

Day 7-10

QC Photos Arrive

Items arrive at warehouse. Agent takes photos and uploads them for your review.

Day 10-11

You Review & Decide

You have 24-72 hours to approve or request exchange. Review every photo carefully.

Day 11-14

Exchanges (if needed)

If you requested exchanges, the agent processes them. Timeline resets for those items.

Day 14+

Ready to Ship

All items approved. You choose shipping line, pay postage, and your haul is on its way.

First Haul Recommendation

For your first haul, we recommend: 1 pair of sneakers, 2 tops (t-shirt + hoodie), 1 bottom (pants or shorts), and 1 accessory. This gives you a taste of every category without over-committing budget or shipping weight.
